The Singularity Institute has only been around since 2000, but we've already published the equivalent of two volumes of material on the topic of how to create systems that are more intelligent and kind than default humans. If you think our mission is a noble one, then please read through some of our introductory material. The reasoning is occasionally complex, but some very thoughtful and scientifically rigorous people support it.
